		The Moffat Pottery in Dumfriesshire, Scotland is run by Gerard Lyons, a former opera singer known as “The Singing Potter” This little handthrown stoneware jug would serve either as an attractive ornament or a useful tea-or-coffee-for-one milk or cream jug. It is 8 cm high with a transparent glaze. It is fully glazed inside and glazed on the outside to just below the base of the handle. It is decorated with a free-style swirl motif in dark brown. ‘Moffat Pottery, Scotland’ is impressed near the bottom edge (see enlarged photo).
