Sadler Ginger Jar in Sweet Pea pattern

<Digimax D53>

Possibly mid-to-late 20th century; 18 cm high.  The firm of J Sadler and Son of Burslem was founded in 1899 and in 2000 was taken over by Churchill China.  The sweet pea decoration on this jar is delicately coloured and very finely wrought.  While this attractive jar would enhance any collection the condition sadly is not perfect: the green band on the rim of the lid is rubbed off in parts (see photo), there is crazing on the bottom (see photo) and a crack about 1 cm long on the top rim (see photo) – all this is reflected in the low price.  Click here to request further information
