APJ Collectables Sadler “Garland” China Tea Pot : 2-3 cups
The firm of J Sadler and Son of Burslem was founded in 1899 and in 2000 was taken over by Churchill China.		Sadler’s were particularly famous for their teapots and this one is a lovely example. It probably dates from the latter half of the 20th Century and is 12.5 cm high (including the lid) and of 400 ml capacity, which gives 2 to three cups, depending upon the size of the cup. The backstamp (see photo) has a crown and small floral garland and reads: Sadler, Garland, Made in England. Near the backstamp is a hand-applied number: 4146C, which could be either the pattern number or an identifier of the person who decorated it.
