This striking dish is glazed in shades
of dark brown accented with greenish-white sprays and streaks and swirls of
metallic grey. It is 25.25 x 14 cm and approximately 2.5 cm at its deepest
point. The underside is impressed with the potter’s name Ross Taylor and the
year 1991 (see photo).
Unfortunately some of the metallic decoration has become tarnished, probably
due to unsuitable substances being put in the dish, although this is only
apparent when the dish is at certain angles to the light. Otherwise this dish
is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Click here to
