APJ Collectables Crown Winsor Single-handled Vase: Snowdrops

After the
liquidation of Sylvac the pottery in Longton,
Staffordshire was run by a workers co-operative until it was taken over by
the United Co-operative Society in 1984.
It then traded under the name of Crown Winsor
until its closure in 1989. Crown Winsor is not yet as well known or as widely collected as
its more famous predecessor, but I believe that it will become more and more
sought after by collectors. This china vase,
in an elegant classical shape is enhanced by fluting at the top and bottom and has a
plinth-style foot. It is 23 cm high
and is decorated with a lovely design of snowdrops and with bands of gilding. It is backstamped (see photo) with a
